Villa Meraki Mariou is located on a green hill at the edge of the traditional village of Mariou, in Southern Crete, surrounded by olive groves. In picturesque Mariou there is a small convenience store, a local café and the famous Taverne Mariou.

The villa offers breathtaking views of the Libyan Sea and Paligremnos Mountain, which is located between the bays of Plakias and Damnoni. Plakias is a cozy fishing village with a large long beach and numerous restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries and stores and is just under 4 kilometers away. Near the villa the beautiful bays of Damnoni and Ammoudi are worth visiting. The city of Rethymnon is about 27 kilometers from Mariou.
